  3. Custom Onboarding / Custom Contracts

My custom contract has information about the scope of work and fees in it. How do I use this with Liquid?

If your custom contract has information about the scope of work and fees in it, there are two ways you can use this with Liquid.

If you'd like to keep that information in your custom contract, you can add those as custom fields for you to enter at the time of vendor information.

If you'd like to use Liquid for your Work Orders, then we'd recommend that you delete the portion of your custom contract that references fees and instead add two sections to your contract that state that the scope and fees will be done via Liquid's platform.

Here is Liquid's template text that can be added to your contract (Quick note: This is not to be taken as legal or HR advice. Since employment laws change over time and can vary by location and industry, consult a lawyer or HR expert for specific guidance.):

Consulting Relationship. During the term of this Agreement, Consultant will provide consulting services to the Company (the “Services”) as described on a project by project basis (“Work Orders”) in work order addendums (each addendum, a “Work Order Addendum”), and agreed to via manual signatures and/or electronic signatures via Liquid’s software platform (the “Liquid Platform”). Details of the Services in Projects, such as scope of work, fees, deliverables, due date, expense allotment, payment terms, and/or supervisor, will be mutually established and agreed upon by the parties via the Work Order Addendums. Consultant represents that Consultant is duly licensed (as applicable) and has the qualifications, the experience and the ability to properly perform the Services. Consultant shall use Consultant’s best efforts to perform the Services in a timely manner and in such a way that the results are satisfactory to the Company.

Fees. As consideration for the Services and other obligations of Consultant as set forth herein and in the Work Order Addendum(s), the Company shall pay to Consultant the amounts specified in the Work Order Addendum(s) at the times specified therein.
