What bank holidays might affect the timing of my payments?

Liquid's payments are initiated using the United States banking system, even when payments are made overseas. As a result, money does not move on federal bank holidays.

When a holiday falls on a Saturday, banks observe the holiday on the day before (Friday). Money does not move on the observed bank holidays, just as it does not move on normal bank holidays.

When a holiday falls on a Sunday, banks observe the holiday on the day after (Monday). Money does not move on the observed bank holidays, just as it does not move on normal bank holidays.

If you need to ensure a payment is received by a certain date, please note that these bank holidays will delay your payment by 1 business day. We recommend invoicing early when you are expecting a payment around these bank holidays.

Visit the Federal Reserve Bank for the full list of holiday dates.
