Why is Liquid asking me for the country of my Vendor business?
To use Liquid, you must create your Vendor business account in Liquid (even if you don't have an actual business and do work as yourself) and must complete your Client's onboarding processes.
Liquid needs to know what country you are located in to ensure that your Client collects the correct IRS tax form from you.
- If you are located in the United States or are a US citizen / US business, you will complete an IRS W9 form.
- If you are located overseas and are not a US citizen / US business, you will complete an IRS W8 form.
Do NOT select the United States of America if you are not a US citizen / US business. Do NOT select the United States of America just simply because your Client is located in the US.
